helping you help your child so you can parent more confidently

Helping Children Reach New Heights

Created to Thrive provides developmental & behavioral evaluations that, while extremely comprehensive in scope, are specifically tailored to each child’s individual needs and concerns.

Our “whole-child” approach to care means that we, first and foremost, want to gather whatever information is needed to better understand YOUR child. As the parent /caregiver, YOU are the foremost expert on your child. As such, the information you provide – regarding your child’s medical, developmental, and behavioral history, as well as any observations you have made, or insight you may have – will all be essential to your child’s formal developmental and behavioral evaluation. In addition, it is oftentimes very helpful to gather information from other family members, as well as your child’s teachers, therapists, daycare providers and other service providers (if/when applicable).

Your child’s medical history and examination, developmental history and evaluation, family history, social history, educational & therapeutic history will ALL be given careful consideration during their formal developmental and behavioral evaluation AND the formulation of all medical, developmental, behavioral, and educational treatment recommendations and overall “plan of care”.

Services We Provide

Services Outside of Scope

  • Formal diagnostic evaluations for specific Learning Disorders, such as: dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and nonverbal learning disorder. If your child’s developmental and behavioral evaluation raises concern(s) for a Learning Disorder, a referral (to the most appropriate provider who can complete this type of diagnostic evaluation) will be provided and/or other diagnostic options will be discussed (example: your child’s school district may be able to complete this type of diagnostic evaluation).
  • Formal diagnostic evaluations using the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS). Should this additional diagnostic evaluation be deemed “necessary” (by myself – for diagnostic clarification), or be desired (by a child’s parent/caregiver), a referral for this will be provided.
