Policy regarding rescheduled, cancelled & missed appointments
Due to the amount of time that Dr. Allen allocates for each child’s individual Developmental & Behavioral consultation (4 hours), and the amount of time Dr. Allen spends reviewing each child’s outside records and preparing for each child’s visit prior to their scheduled consultation, please note that we have a strict Appointment Reschedule, Cancellation & Missed Appointment Policy.
If you reschedule your child’s appointment more than 2 weeks (11+ business days not counting weekends or holidays) prior to their scheduled appointment time, your child’s appointment can be rescheduled without charge as it is likely that we will be able to fill your child’s slot with another child waiting to be seen. All payments already collected at the time of your child’s appointment scheduling will be applied to their rescheduled appointment.
Non-emergency rescheduling of your child’s appointment within 10 business days (not counting weekends or holidays) prior to their scheduled appointment time will cause a late rescheduled appointment fee of $250 to be charged if we are unable to fill your child’s slot with another child waiting to be seen. All payments already collected at the time of your child’s appointment scheduling will be applied to their rescheduled appointment but not the $250 late rescheduling fee.
Emergency rescheduling of your child’s appointment within 10 business days (not counting weekends or holidays) prior to their scheduled appointment time will not incur any rescheduling charge if you provide acceptable documentation of the emergency. All payments already collected at the time of your child’s initial appointment scheduling will be applied to their rescheduled appointment.
If you cancel your child’s appointment more than 2 weeks (11+ business days not counting weekends or holidays) prior to their scheduled appointment time, you forfeit 50% of the payment already collected at the time of your child’s appointment scheduling because of the cost of Dr. Allen’s time spent reviewing your child’s outside records and preparing for your child’s consultation. The remaining 50% will be refunded to you.
If you cancel your child’s appointment within the 2 weeks (10 business days not counting weekends or holidays) of their scheduled appointment time, you forfeit all payments already collected at the time of your child’s appointment scheduling because of the cost of Dr. Allen’s time spent reviewing your child’s outside records, preparing for your child’s consultation, and the likely inability to schedule another child in your child’s consultation slot.
If you miss your child’s appointment, you forfeit all payments already collected at the time of your child’s appointment scheduling.
Your appointment time is reserved for you. Please help us to serve you better by keeping all scheduled appointments and by arriving on time for all appointments.
